The Curse of the Internet - when it comes to parenting, and basically anything else.

One thing that is awesome about the internet is the sheer wealth of information, unfortunately this also means we have access to so much information, too much information.  For every piece of advice telling you to do one thing there is one telling you to do the opposite. Its insane. For sleeping, for introducing solids, for night weaning, for milestones, etc. Or for breastfeeding information. Or for things to do  or not do while pregnant.  And it extends past just these areas, its in every part of life. We have access to so much information its anxiety inducing!

My parents and the generations before them didn't have this amount of information, and if they did it sure wasn't seconds away.

My goal for June is not to absolutely google  and read everything and if you know me - "researching things" should be my middle name and honestly all it does is make me more anxious and really question everything I am doing from day to day. Let's hope I can meet my goal!

So if you are like me, even a little bit, I dare you to try it! And if you feel a difference by the end of the month, come back and leave me a comment :)

  1. Oh absolutely. Google is the best and the worst parenting tool! I hope you feel more collected and in control this month!

  2. Interesting thinking, it's very important to understand it.
But without internet in our time, we are nothing.
